How to Do the Perfect Makeup for Fair Skin
from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Having fair skin myself can make it difficult to find the perfect makeup for fair skin. Most colours look too heavy or really brash against your skin tone. This article covers a basic day and an evening look that suits your colouring.
Steps
For Day Wear
- Cover any spots or blemishes with a light concealer that matches your skin, never make an effort to cover freckles, they are beautiful (and they just look odd covered up).
- Apply a light dusting of matte powder, this is better than foundation because most have an orangy tint that shows more on light skin, making you look a funny colour!
- Use a light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks (just smile to find them).
- Curl your eyelashes and use 2 coats of brown or clear or brown mascara, line your bottom lashes with white eyeliner (it makes your eyes look bigger)
- Apply some tinted or clear lip balm.
For Evening Wear
- Repeat steps One and Two.
- Apply a highlighter to your cheekbones, under your eyebrows and in the corner of your eyes.
- Use a light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks (just smile to find them).
- Curl eyelashes and apply 3 coats of black mascara, do smokey eyes (see below).
- Apply lashings of pale pink or clear lipgloss.
Tips
- If you really must use foundation MAC has a good range for fair skin.
- Use pink blush. Bronzer just looks a muddy brown!
- Fake eyelashes look fantastic and really make eyes pop.
- SMOKEY EYES
- Sweep white eyeshadow over the whole eyelid and up to the eyebrows.
- Cover just the eyelid in light grey eyeshadow.
- Shade the crease of the eyelid with dark grey eyeshadow and blend.
- Apply a quick sweep of liquid eyeliner across the top lashes and grey pencil eyeliner along your bottom lashes.
- Sweep white eyeshadow over the whole eyelid and up to the eyebrows.
Warnings
- Make sure you use sunscreen every day
