How to Apply Perfume for a Date

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Want to smell great for a date, but not sure how much perfume to put on and where to put it? This article can help you make sure your scent will delight, not overpower, your companion.

Steps

  1. Spray a little perfume on your wrist. Men may apply to their hands first but be sure to wash afterwards.
  2. Try to add to pressure points, inner wrist, inner elbow, behind knees, behind ears, etc.
  3. If it's a dab on perfume, dab behind your ears.
  4. Put a little more around your hair lightly on the surface but not so much as to damage the texture. You can apply it to your hair line above your neck or to the neck itself.
  5. Spray or dab a little around your neck, don't use too much.
  6. Put a little on the chest, but again don't use too much.
  7. Rub a small amount on the back of your knees.
  8. Spray a little on your inner elbows (about 1 spray per elbow is good).
  9. Don't over apply.
  10. Consider applying to your wrist and neck. Instead of making additional sprays, spray it into the air and walk through it.
  11. Use caution. It you aren't familiar with a fragrance or how strong it applies you can apply it to a cotton ball and then use it to tab.

Tips

  • Make sure that the perfume is not too old.
  • Make sure that you have a high quality perfume.
  • Spray perfume into air and walk through it.

Warnings

  • Be careful with applying too much of a perfume that has a smell you already recognize. At first, you may believe that the smell is weak, but in reality, your olfactory glands have already become accustomed to the smell. You may smell stronger of perfume than you actually perceive.
  • Be sure that you (or your date) are not allergic to the perfume.
