Applying blush is easy, and it helps to make your beautiful face glow and look alive.

Steps

1. Select a color that will help accent your already stunning facial features. Choose a color that you think will look appropriate and won't stand out too much. A bright red may not look great on a pale person. Try a soft pink color such as "Dandelion" by Benefit Cosmetics. Maybe even something with a little tan and pink in it, like "10" by Benefit Cosmetics.
   
2. Get a whole set of brushes, and you can use them for all kinds of different makeup applications. Sometimes blush comes with an applicator. Never use a small, cheap brush like the ones that come in CoverGirl blushes. If you use a cheap brush, You'll have a cheap look.
   
3. Make sure your area is well lit for doing makeup. Consider getting a lighted makeup mirror. Prepare for your makeup by washing your face, brushing your teeth, and putting on any foundations, coverups, and bronzers you may use.
   
4. Swipe your brush over your cheek about three times, making strokes back and forth or round and round. Put a big smile on your face so your cheeks perk up (these are the apples of your cheeks) and you may even see some dimples. Place the brush over your cheeks and make strokes with the brush from your cheeks (towards your nose) to the side of your face (towards your ears). Move the brush in a circular fashion as well before going to do the other side of your face.
   

Tips

• Play with the blush yourself! You will see where you want to get a little more pink on your face if you do it a few times.
  
• Redheads look great in "Georgia" by Benefit Cosmetics.
  
• Use a large, quality brush, such as "Professional Natural Slant Brush" by Sephora.
  
• Make sure blush and lipstick are similar in color.

• Putting too much blush on can make you look like you are just a big red face. Everything in moderation!
