How to Make a Tinted Moisturizer

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

If your looking for something sheer, just to enhance your skin tone, a tint in your moisturizer would sure help! Simple and cheap.

Steps

  1. Squeeze (dab, shake out, pump) facial moisturizer to your palm. SPF face moisturizer is also good. (make sure you don't have a huge glob, just a small button)
  2. Take a foundation, and squeeze (dab, shake out, pump) a small button size amount of foundation on to the facial moisturizer.
  3. Mix foundation and lotion together with your finger, then apply to your face.

Tips

  • The finishing product will be slightly lighter than the foundation alone, so a foundation that is a bit darker will work better. Beige foundation will work with Ivory skin, olive foundation will work for tanner complections, and darker skin tones can stick to the foundation that matches (I have a really dark skinned Afro-American friend who tried, and it worked out just fine). You can always test with the shades you have already though.

Things You'll Need

  • Foundation
  • Moisturizer (specificaly a non-greasy, not too thick lotion, no liquid like the Clinique clarifying lotion)
