How to Do Your Makeup in the Summer
from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Feel better, look better when you lighten up your makeup for summer. Here are some helpful tips.
Steps
- Start out by washing your face with a gentle facial cleanser. Pat dry and apply a light facial moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or higher.
- Apply concealer wherever needed, but don't go overboard. Try using it just under your eyes and on any blemishes.
- Skip liquid and cream foundations in the summer. If barefaced is not for you, use a very light mineral foundation with an SPF.
- Apply bronzer or a tawny-brown blush and VERY lightly brush it on the apples of your cheeks, your nose, your chin, and your hairline.
- Skip the eyeshadow. Apply eyeliner on the top of your eyelids only, and apply waterproof mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
- Apply lip balm with SPF constantly, and nude lip gloss when going out.
- If you're going to a summer outing, and want to wear makeup that will bring out your tan, try these easy makeup tips:
- Follow Steps 1-4 on the previous list.
- Apply eye shadow with a little shimmer, like a golden-brown.
- If you're a blonde or red-head with pale eyebrows, define them with the eyeshadow you just used.
- Wear some frosted lip color to bring out your lips.
Tips
- Wear sunscreen everywhere, everyday, and re-apply often!
