How to Do Your Makeup in the Summer

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Feel better, look better when you lighten up your makeup for summer. Here are some helpful tips.

Steps

  1. Start out by washing your face with a gentle facial cleanser. Pat dry and apply a light facial moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or higher.
  2. Apply concealer wherever needed, but don't go overboard. Try using it just under your eyes and on any blemishes.
  3. Skip liquid and cream foundations in the summer. If barefaced is not for you, use a very light mineral foundation with an SPF.
  4. Apply bronzer or a tawny-brown blush and VERY lightly brush it on the apples of your cheeks, your nose, your chin, and your hairline.
  5. Skip the eyeshadow. Apply eyeliner on the top of your eyelids only, and apply waterproof mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
  6. Apply lip balm with SPF constantly, and nude lip gloss when going out.
  7. If you're going to a summer outing, and want to wear makeup that will bring out your tan, try these easy makeup tips:
  8. Follow Steps 1-4 on the previous list.
  9. Apply eye shadow with a little shimmer, like a golden-brown.
  10. If you're a blonde or red-head with pale eyebrows, define them with the eyeshadow you just used.
  11. Wear some frosted lip color to bring out your lips.

Tips

  • Wear sunscreen everywhere, everyday, and re-apply often!
