How to Apply Lipstick Without a Mirror

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

In a perfect world, there would always be a mirror handy whenever you want to apply lipstick. This isn't a perfect world, however, and often you either don't have a mirror immediately on hand, don't have room to hold it or it's buried down deep in your purse with all your receipts and share change. Keeping this in mind, here's how a mirrorless lipstick application method that won't result in you looking like a kid applied your makeup.

Steps

  1. Open your mouth. While your mouth is open, use your dominant hand to position the lipstick so it's in the center of the bow of your upper lip. Put one of the fingers of your free hand above the lipstick as a guide.
  2. Draw a half heart from the tip of the bow, then trace the top of your lip to the edge our mouth while using your guiding fingertip to keep the makeup in place. Repeat this procedure on the other side of your top lip.
  3. Next, place the lipstick in the center of your bottom lip. Trace the lipstick to the edge of your bottom lip. Repeat for the other side of your bottom lip.

Warnings

  • Don't rub your lips together, since this will cause the lip color to smear off your lips onto other parts of your face.
